Services

Two halves of one practice.

BestDid works in two directions. We partner with teams to design and build the software they need; and we publish a small line of our own products under the BD brand. The standard is the same either way.

Part I.For teams

What we build for others.

Most engagements begin with a conversation. We take on a small number of projects at a time — typically two or three in flight — so that each gets the attention it deserves.

  • 01

    Product design

Research, UX, and interface. From early exploration to production-ready design systems — legible, considered, and honest to the material.

    • Discovery & product strategy
    • Interface & interaction design
    • Design systems · brand extensions
  • 02

    Web applications

Modern web apps built with Next.js, React, and TypeScript. Server-rendered by default; fast, typed, maintainable; boring technology where it counts.

    • Marketing sites & content platforms
    • Dashboards & internal tools
    • SaaS products · billing · auth
  • 03

    Mobile applications

Expo and React Native apps — cross-platform with native feel. Offline-first where it matters. Shipped to the App Store and Play Store end-to-end.

    • Consumer apps · utilities
    • Marketplaces · on-demand
    • App Store & Play Store submission
  • 04

    WordPress engineering

A quiet specialty. We write WordPress plugins and themes the way we write any other software — typed patterns, predictable builds, no spaghetti.

    • Custom plugins & themes
    • Security & performance audits
    • WooCommerce & membership sites
  • 05

    AI & machine learning

Claude, OpenAI, and the LLM ecosystem — integrated into web and mobile products where it earns its place. Generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic tools, and bespoke machine-learning workflows. Research-backed, evaluated, and quiet about it.

    • Generative AI & LLM integration (Claude, OpenAI)
    • Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) & vector search
    • Agentic tools & workflow automation
    • Content generation pipelines
    • Prompt engineering & evaluation
    • Machine-learning features & predictive workflows
  • 06

    DevSec & security

Application security as a discipline, not a checklist. Penetration testing for web apps and WordPress sites, secure code review, header & CSP hardening, and incident response. Free in-browser scan available — full audits available on request.

    • Penetration testing · web & WordPress
    • Secure code review & threat modelling
    • Hardening · headers, CSP, WAF, auth
    • Incident response & forensics
    • Free scan at /security
  • 07

    Technical advisory

Short engagements for teams that need a second set of eyes — architecture reviews, product critiques, and calm opinions on hard decisions.

    • Architecture & code review
    • Product & scope consultation
    • Fractional technical leadership

Part II.For ourselves

What we publish under our name.

A growing family of independent products — the things we wished existed. Security, productivity, and small creative tools, each built the way we’d want one built for us.

Process

How we tend to work.

Every project is a little different. These four movements are what most of them share.

i

Listen

A short, candid conversation. What are you trying to build, for whom, and why now? We sign a mutual NDA if it helps, and produce a written scope.

ii

Draft

Design and architecture, in parallel. We prototype the hard parts early — the interactions that make the product feel like itself, and the edges of the technical plan.

iii

Build

Weekly demos. Real code from week one. No surprises at the end — you see what we’re building as we’re building it.

iv

Ship

Launch with care — store submissions, DNS, monitoring, copy polish. Then a quiet window of support while things settle.

Engagements

Four ways to work together.

Sprint2 — 4 weeksTight scope: a marketing site, a prototype, a defined feature.
Project6 — 16 weeksA full product cycle from discovery to launch.
PartnershipOngoingEmbedded as your product & engineering team. Monthly retainer.
Advisory1 — 4 daysA written review, a roadmap, or a second opinion.

Tell us what you’re making.

A single email starts it. No forms, no pipelines — one of the two of us will read your note and answer within a day or two.
